Just letting anyone who is interested, I played in a (freeroll) qualifier (for June 1st WSOP Main Event Buy-in tourney, including air fare and hotel) today, in reference to my previous post.Didn't finish as well as I would have liked. There were 4800 people that signed up and I finished around 800th.
You get 1500 in chips and blinds start out at 25 each, every ten minutes they double, (first increase is 50/100), so another words, blinds go up fast!
Within 50 minutes of the tournament I was eliminated, so the 5k players decreases extremely rapidly, I was eliminated on my big blind of 800 and pushed all in with big slick pre-flop.
I liked the pace of the tourney, but I got the impression you have too take some early risks to have a stack big enough for the fast blind increases!
They run them all day long leading up to June 1st and top 100 of each qualifier makes the tourney!
